Alma Livre
Free Soul

Free Soul explores the relationship between freedom, presence, and transformation through contemporary abstraction. The series develops a pictorial language that preserves the spontaneity of gesture while finding balance between silence, light, and space.
Organic lines, expansive fields of color, and suspended forms guide each composition, creating visual atmospheres that invite contemplation and the construction of personal meaning. The works encourage viewers to slow down, observe, and engage with the experience.
Each painting represents a moment in the evolution of Natali de Paula's artistic language, reflecting an ongoing exploration of freedom as an inner experience, where painting becomes a space of connection between materiality, emotion, and time.

Lúmen

Lumen explores light as a force of transformation, presence, and movement in contemporary abstract painting. Inspired by the Latin word for "light," the series investigates the dialogue between vibrant fields of color, organic lines, and expansive negative space, creating compositions that radiate energy, depth, and balance.
Each painting offers a sensory experience in which light becomes more than a visual element, it becomes a language that reveals the relationship between color, material, gesture, and space. Through abstraction, the works invite viewers into a contemplative journey, encouraging personal interpretation and emotional connection.
Rather than simply depicting light, Lumen reveals its transformative power. Each painting makes visible what light does not merely illuminate, but transforms.

Earth

Terra is the series that establishes the foundation of Natali de Paula's pictorial research. Through it, the artist explores painting in its most essential form, investigating the relationship between material, gesture, and surface through abstract compositions built with layered textures and earthy tonalities.
Moving away from figurative representation, the series focuses on the expressive power of color, the density of matter, and the physical presence of painting itself. Inspired by minerals, soil, and natural elements, the works develop a distinctive visual language in which balance, permanence, and transformation coexist organically.
More than a body of work, Terra represents the conceptual foundation of the artist's practice. From this investigation into materiality, rhythm, and pictorial construction emerge later series such as Lúmen, dedicated to the expansion of light and chromatic energy, and Alma Livre, characterized by gestural synthesis and the freedom of form. Together, these series reveal a continuous artistic research committed to the evolution of contemporary abstract painting.
